Watch the same work run two ways.
The same cases move through the same eight stages twice: once with manual coordination between steps, once with an integrated system. Change the staffing, timings and automation and see where time is actually gained, and where it is not.
Illustrative business model Stage times and rates are adjustable assumptions. This is not measured client data.
The model
What is being simulated.
Everything on the screen is read from one calculated timeline. The animation replays that timeline; it does not decorate it.
- Two separate teams
- Administrative staff handle reception, validation, allocation, billing, dispatch and confirmation. Production staff do the main work and the quality check. Each team has its own capacity.
- Manual coordination
- Every administrative step carries extra minutes of calls, messages and re-entry, and every handoff adds a delay while someone finds out where the case is.
- Integration
- The automation-coverage slider removes that share of administrative work and information delay. Production minutes are never reduced.
- Rework
- A fixed share of cases fail inspection and return for partial rework. The same cases are reworked in both runs, so the comparison is fair.
Why it can show little or no speed-up. If production is the limiting team, taking administrative work away saves staff effort but cannot make the main work finish sooner. The results always say which team is the limit, so you can see exactly where an improvement comes from.
Switch industries to see the same logic applied to a clinic, a retail business, a hospitality business or a general enterprise. Stage names and default timings change; the mechanics do not.
